Examora: Study AI helps students create explanations, quizzes, flashcards, study plans, and AI tutor conversations. This policy explains what information the app collects, why it is used, and how to contact us.

Information We Collect

• Account information from sign-in providers, such as Apple, Google, email authentication, or anonymous authentication identifiers.
• Student profile settings, including display name, grade level, study country, and app language preferences.
• Study content you provide, such as typed topics, chat messages, uploaded study photos, extracted text, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and study plans.
• Usage and account state needed to operate the app, including token balance, generated lessons, progress, weak concepts, and purchase-related status.
• Technical information processed by Firebase services, such as crash, diagnostic, authentication, and security information.

How We Use Information

• To provide AI study assistance, generate educational content, answer study questions, and personalize explanations for the student's context.
• To save study history, progress, account state, token balances, and app preferences across devices.
• To keep the app secure, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and provide customer support.
• To process purchases and token packages through Apple's in-app purchase system when available.

AI Processing

When you ask the AI tutor a question, generate a lesson, or analyze a study image, the relevant prompt, text, image-derived content, and study context may be sent through Firebase Cloud Functions to OpenAI to produce the requested educational response. Do not upload private documents, passwords, government IDs, payment cards, or other sensitive personal information.

Firebase Services

Examora uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Cloud Functions, and Firebase Hosting. These services are used for sign-in, storage, backend processing, security, and serving support pages.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the app, including Firebase, Apple, Google sign-in services when selected, and OpenAI for AI responses.

Data Retention and Deletion

Study data and account information are retained while your account is active or as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, and resolve disputes. You may request account or data deletion by contacting us.

Children and Students

Examora is designed as a study tool. Students should use the app with appropriate parent, guardian, or school guidance where required by local law. The app should not be used to submit personal information from children without required consent.

Security

We use Firebase security rules, authenticated backend calls, and access controls to help protect user data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
